Ironbridge Legal, the premium disputes and insolvency boutique law firm, has appointed Candy Lau as Partner.
Ms Lau joins from Norton Rose Fulbright and will play a central role in the firm’s continued push towards its stated ambition of becoming Australia’s first-choice, go-to, conflict-free specialist disputes, regulatory, and insolvency firm for complex, high-stakes matters.
Her appointment is the latest in a deliberate series of senior hires by the firm, following the appointments of Partner Blake Shaw, Chief Operating Officer Julianne Clark, and Head of Marketing and
Growth Hyugo Hayashi in 2025. It also reflects a broader strategic direction at Ironbridge Legal. Growth, but on its own terms. Selective, senior and squarely aimed at sharpening the firm’s edge at the top end of the market.

Who is Candy Lau
At Norton Rose Fulbright, Ms Lau developed a practice spanning financial services regulation, corporate governance, privacy, critical infrastructure regulation, regulatory compliance and risk advisory, complemented by disputes and investigations experience.
Her recent experience includes advising major energy and infrastructure clients, data storage and processing entities and global financial institutions on matters such as Australia’s evolving Security of Critical Infrastructure regime, as well as privacy compliance, in a rapidly evolving regulatory and operational landscape.
She brings a distinctive combination of technical regulatory capability, sharp commercial pragmatism, and litigation depth, including experience conducting civil proceedings in both English and Chinese. She was first admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong, before later qualifying in New South Wales and being admitted to the High Court of Australia.
Candy said joining Ironbridge was as much about the firm’s focus as its ambition.
