Tessia Tan

Tessia is a disputes and litigation lawyer with over four years of post-admission experience. Her background spans complex disputes, civil claims, negotiation and alternative dispute resolution, as well as legal research, writing and legal publishing.

Prior to joining Ironbridge Legal in July 2026, Tessia was an Associate in the Disputes/Litigation team at Norton Rose Fulbright. In that role, she advised the government on high-value civil claims, building on her experience in disputes and litigation and further developing her understanding of complex civil matters.

Before joining Norton Rose Fulbright, Tessia spent two years as a Solicitor at Hicksons Lawyers. During this time, she honed her skills in negotiation and alternative dispute resolution, adding to her broader disputes experience and developing a practical approach to resolving legal matters.

Tessia also brings a strong background in legal research and writing. At Thomson Reuters, she worked as a Lawyer Writer and Legal Editor for Practical Law, contributing to resources used across commercial and in-house legal practice. Her work involved applying her legal knowledge in a research and editorial context and communicating legal concepts through practical legal resources.

Her experience at Thomson Reuters also provided her with valuable exposure to legal technology and digital knowledge platforms. Through this work, Tessia developed a practical understanding of how technology can be used to support and enhance the delivery of legal services.

Tessia’s career foundation includes several years of paralegal experience across multiple firms. This early experience gave her a well-rounded understanding of legal practice from the ground up and complements the litigation, dispute resolution, research and writing experience she has developed throughout her career.
